MOMENTS ARE MADE ON PORCHES.
IT'S A SOUTHERN THING
A true southern classic, you can't go wrong with pecan pie. It's a proven tradition, it's not officially Thanksgiving until pecan pie is on the table. A 9 inch perfectly flaky soft crust, mounds of chopped Texas pecans, filled with warm gooey goodness. Stop in at The Kenney Store to try our famous recipe! Need a pie for an upcoming event, call ahead and we will have one ready right out of the oven.
I COULD JUST EAT YOU UP
The perfect individual size pie. Indulge, you deserve it! Looking for awesome party favors or a twist on special occasion desserts? Try our cutie pies! Guaranteed to put a smile on your cutie pies at home!
Forget the crust! Let's get right to the good stuff. What is a pie ball you ask? Think of it as a truffle's unsophisticated cousin. We took all the heavenly ingredients in our pie filling, formed a fun size bite, and rolled it in chopped pecans. Not to brag, but our balls are big!
"From our back porch to yours, we hope you sit back and enjoy the little things in life... like pie."

ABOUT US - a back porch story
THE UECKERT FAMILY
In December 2002, Reesa Ueckert and her 3 daughters baked over 100 pecan pies for their family business, H.R. Ueckert Company. With the help of their bulldozer operators, they delivered pies all over Austin County and beyond to their customers for Christmas. It became an annual holiday tradition that everyone looked forward to. It became so popular that 11 years later, Reesa started selling pies right out of their office. Back Porch Pecan Pies was open for business! Dolores, an adorable vintage camper became an icon. Parked right on the main drag of town next to the local feed store, everybody knew when Reesa "the pie lady" was there. Lines formed at Delores's door with locals craving warm homemade pecan pies.
THE KENNEY STORE
In March 2018, The Kenney Store was looking to expand their dessert menu and jumped at the chance to get Reesa Ueckert's famous pie recipe. Tony and Rita Krueger proudly bought the company along with its legacy of hard working locals supporting their community.
A NOTE FROM TONY AND RITA
The Kenney Store's motto has always been "it is what it is." This tiny community is what it is because of good-hearted folks like the Ueckert family. We are honored to continue their traditions and be a part of the joy this company brings our locals. There's no other food that gives you the feeling like pie gives you. It feels like home. From our back porch to yours, we hope you sit back and enjoy the little sweet things in life... like pie.
